Sample acquisition and characterization
We have developed a customized sampling vision system for the acquisition and characterization of Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae production from 5 to 7 days old.
Our counting solution takes just a few seconds to estimate the number of larvae present in the tank, enabling robust production qualification and avoiding tedious, repetitive tasks for the operator.
The current system can be fully adapted to other larval development stages, but can also be integrated directly on the lines for complete production control.
